Farmers are encouraged to take advantage of a coordinated effort between Oceana Conservation District and local agri-chemical companies to recycle their empty pesticide jugs.
Empty containers MUST be:
Ag-based product containers
HDPE plastic #2 or #7
Triple-rinsed, clean and dry
Booklets removed!
Caps removed (rinse and put in regular garbage)
55 gallons or smaller
Preferred method of delivery: Tied together with twine through handles or bring loose (without caps).
Collection Dates are September 15-27 at Helena in Shelby during office hours and September 28 at Acres Co-op in Scottville from 10-11am only. Do not leave jugs at these sites other than during scheduled times! Call Oceana Conservation District (231) 861-5600 with questions.
